A review conducted by Labour MP David Lammy on the treatment of minority groups in the criminal justice system showed, minority groups are more than five times as likely to have force used against them by police as white people.
Systematic racial injustice has seen many black people die in police custody all over the world. From Mark Dugan, Sheku Bayoh, Sean Rigg and others in the UK, to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and more in the US. Some deaths have been filmed, but how many haven’t? It is time for change.
