KILL THE BILL X BRISTOL
Since university, I have covered a number of different protests, each with the same underlying cause; the protection of our rights, our planet and the acknowledgment of systemic issues. I have always been passionate about the issues I have covered. As a young woman I have felt the frustration in the lack of action and accountability of our government and felt protesting to be a space of hope and to give a voice to the people. This is why but the PCSC is incredibly scary. With harsh punishments and measures including 10 years in prison, over £2,000 fines for one person holding a placard to setting start time and end times, many of the people of Bristol, wanted to stand up to this scary law.
Sadly, the PCSC bill passed to become law in April 2022.
